Luke 7:36-39 Jesus Anointed by a Sinful Woman

36 When one of the Pharisees invited Jesus to have dinner with him, he went to the Pharisee’s house and reclined at the table. 37 A woman in that town who lived a sinful life learned that Jesus was eating at the Pharisee’s house, so she came there with an alabaster jar of perfume. 38 As she stood behind him at his feet weeping, she began to wet his feet with her tears. Then she wiped them with her hair, kissed them and poured perfume on them.

39 When the Pharisee who had invited him saw this, he said to himself, “If this man were a prophet, he would know who is touching him and what kind of woman she is—that she is a sinner.”

1. Give Jesus Your Past. We all have a past. No matter how good or bad. We must give Jesus our past. All our past hurts, habits, or anything else that might be blocking us from a productive future in Christ.

2. Give Jesus Your Best. Don't give Him your left overs. Give Him your very best. What we give Him is our worship of Him.

3. Church We Must Not Resemble The House Of The Pharisee. Where the sinner isn't invited or welcomed with open arms. When someone comes to our church, they are coming to Calvary. When we welcome and recognize people, we will then welcome and recognize the presence of Jesus.

Always Give Yourself Completely
